The theme for this week’s Mixed Media Monday is What you loved doing in 2008 It is so humid here, that a paint brush soaked with Gesso did not dry out overnight, normally, if you don’t get to it within half an hour it is a pain, even though dried Gesso washes out fairly easily, but the moral of my story is the high humidity we are experiencing and as a result, anything glue wise, even painted layers was out of the question. I had a background I had started previously, so I spent the day (in airconditioning watching Australia take on South Africa in the cricket) working with my other love which is creative embroidery and one of my favourite stitches – feather stitch. In reference to the topic, I taught hand embroidery to my local craft group twice a month this past year.
